No Somos Animales
No Somos Animales is a project regarding the treatment of Immigrants in immigration processing camps. Since a large percentage of these inmates are from Mexico and Central America, flowers were used to represent them and their culture. Other themes such as the box that surrounds the flowers, is put there to show that many immigrants have reported that their cells are over crowded. Also, the Spanish title “No Somos Animales” translates to “We are not animals”. This title was placed here to speak for the immigrants, to remind others that they are also human.
